As a former insomnia sufferer, I understand fully how debilitating the constant fatigue, brain fog and irritability can be. But I also understand the joy and relief that a long, deep, uninterrupted sleep can bring, and I know that I can help you achieve that goal!

It is a sad fact that over one-third adults in the UK have had a problem with insomnia within the last year. If you are in that group, you will know the feeling:

For some of you it will be switching the light off and feeling unwanted, often anxious, thoughts come rushing in and keep running around in your head, keeping you wide awake.

For others it will be getting to sleep just fine, but waking up after a couple of hours or so, and having these thoughts start – sometimes it can even feel that your mind is looking for things to worry about!

You probably don’t need me to tell you, but this is not what nature intended! It is entirely natural indeed, necessary – for our bodies and minds to take time to sleep every day so that they can rest, repair and restore themselves.

The most common causes of insomnia are anxiety, stress and worry. However, once they have started, sleep problems can, for some people, then be perpetuated by their beliefs and behaviours, as they worry excessively about the effects of inadequate sleep on their day to day life and try too hard to get to sleep – creating a vicious cycle that is difficult to break.

Hypnotherapy can help you greatly to overcome your insomnia, and most clients will experience fast and effective change.
